Souscription
It strikes me that Breguet, despite its profound historical importance in horology, hasn't garnered the collector attention it deserves for some time. However, I believe the new Classique Souscription 2025 might be a step in the right direction.
While its 40mm size leans larger for a traditional dress watch, it seems to align with contemporary preferences. Knowing that it draws inspiration from a substantial 61mm pocket watch, I personally feel a size of 36-38mm would have better captured the essence of a classic, understated dress piece. In my view, dress watches are about subtle elegance, unlike the statement-making nature of models like the Royal Oak or sports Rolex watches.
Nevertheless, I am eager to see Breguet's future creations. This new release could very well be the revitalizing spark the brand has been seeking.
